Our story
We met at the tail end of COVID, going for a long walk along the Esplanade for our first date in the spring of 2021. Our relationship grew and solidified over hiking trips, cozy evenings with the cats, and many good meals (often tacos). When Emma moved to NYC for her pediatric residency in 2022, our partnership remained strong. We now split our time between Boston and New York, racking up the Amtrak points and becoming experts on the best vegetarian food in each city.
Four years after our first date, Prashanth put his engineering degree to good use to make a sapphire engagement ring adorned with tulips (Emma’s favorite flower) and cherry blossoms (which we make a point of enjoying every spring), setting the gems himself. He proposed along the Esplanade in June of 2025 — Emma thought he was crashing someone else’s proposal picnic to steal flowers. We were officially married with our immediate families in September of 2025, and now are planning a larger celebration with the rest of our family and friends. We hope to see you there!
